Middlesbrough Supporters South was founded in 1975 by a handful of Boro exiles on the steps of the players entrance at Highbury. Originally founded as a London-based Boro supporters club, MSS soon became a club for Boro fans all around the south of England and eventually for Boro exiles across the UK and the world.
For the exiled supporter, MSS offers regular e-newsletter, parties and social events, pre-match pub meeting points, regular members’ prize draws and discounted rail travel
Our regular email newsletter includes details of pre-match pubs and also information on our nominated pub for watching televised games, The Stage Door in Waterloo, for those unable to travel to the match. Every now and then tickets swap hands between members and lifts to matches can be arranged through the MSS email community.

TICKETS
MSS has access to match tickets and organises meeting places, usually pubs, before and sometimes after games, meaning people can pick up tickets or just get together in the knowledge there will not be a problem attending that pub. Tickets are obtained by sending a cheque, at least three weeks in advance of the match you want to attend, to our Secretary, Geoff Vickers. Further details appear in the Tickets section but it must be stressed that this service is for MSS members only.
PARTY
MSS hosts an annual party which is well attended by the club. Steve Gibson has visited on many an occasion and we hope to welcome him again soon along with other players. When the Boro feature in televised matches, MSS gets together in The Stage Door pub, Waterloo. Boro fans are very well received in the pub and some exciting times have left their mark - there is still beer on the ceiling from Carling Cup Final!
SPORTS
MSS runs a football team in leagues organised by the Association of Provincial Football Clubs in London (APFSCIL). The MSS team have a good record and fly the flag for Boro in the league and across Europe in their pre-season warm up tours. APFSCIL also runs pool and darts leagues throughout the city. AGM
MSS holds an AGM in July. Membership fees, committee members and other club business is discussed and voted on by the membership. Meetings are held in a pub in central London and generally consist of people who can understand your accent straight away!
MSS is a non-profit making organisation; all monies from membership and profits made from our annual party are ploughed back into the club and pay for the running of MSS, our regular members’ draws and the occasional free drink at the AGM. All the committee members are volunteers as are the many people who help and support the club and committee in many different ways.
